## How Scores are Calculated

If you win against someone with a lower rank than your own:

1.) Divide your opponent's rank number by 2.

If you lose against someone with a lower rank than your own:

1.) Multiply your opponent's rank number by 1.5.
2.) Divide the number you get by 2.
3.) Subtract that number from your own rank. The number you get is your NEW rank.

If you win against someone with a higher rank than your own:

1.) Multiply your opponent's rank number by 1.5.
2.) Divide the number you get by 3.

If you lose against someone with a higher rank than your own:

1.) Divide your own score by 6.
2.) Subtract the number you get from your original rank number.
3.) Then take the number you got earlier (your original quotient), and add it to your original rank number.
4.) If your opponent's rank is in between the two numbers you got, use the following algorithm: Multiply your opponent's rank number by 1.1 and divide by 24. Subtract the difference from your rank. That's your NEW rank.
5.) If the above exception didn't apply, simply multiply your opponent's rank number by 1.1 and then divide by 12. Subtract the difference from your rank. That's your NEW rank.

If you win against someone with an EQUAL rank:

1.) Divide your opponent's rank number by 2.

If you lose against someone with an EQUAL rank:
1.) Divide your opponent's rank number by 4.
2.) Subtract that number from your own rank. The number you get is your NEW rank.

Don't worry if you don't understand it, as you will be recording all wins and losses in a separate thread (Ryu and I can calculate them ourselves if needed). This is just so you understand where the numbers are coming from, and can calculate your own rank.
