I realize we already have a thread over at Shuten >_>;. But Johto is so epic that it deserves two threads IMO :p.

I was wondering...what does everyone think of the screenies that show Chikorita following Gold (like these: http://www.serebii.net/heartgoldsoulsilver/pics.shtml)? I'm interested to see if it'll be similar to Yellow version or more like Amity Square. Or is it just in the beginning of the game? I hope Eevee can follow me.

And who's getting the game here and which version? I'll be getting Soul Silver since I got Silver version first, like Lugia better than Ho-Oh, and prefer silver over gold. I'll miss out on Teddiursa but that's alright 'cause I get some neat Pokemon like Phanpy and Vulpix--unless they change who appears in what game anyways.

I'll be getting Soul Silver, because I got Gold last time.

I'll have to resist the "This is the best pokeymanz game evar, must buy both!" impulse I'll have.

I'll end up doing like I always do- get both, play both, become more interested in one over the other, beat said title, TRY to beat the other, and end up getting bored and just putting it down, never to pick it up again.

Almost did that with Platinum, but I'm picking it back up- did that last night.

So, what does everyone think of the pedometer thing? Depending on how it's set up, it could actually be useful for level grinding.

I think I'll break it... Sit around and shake it all day, just like I did with the Pokemon Pikachu pedometer thing. :3

It'd be cool to cart around my Pokemon and WALK them up to level. You don't even have to play to train them anymore... Nice. Certainly would speed things up for those of us with less time to just grind out levels.

Yeah, I like the idea of training my Pokemon without having to play the game. Might encourage people to be more active, too XD.

The Hoenn trio will be catchable in GSDS o_0;. I'm so sad, though, because Soul Silver gets GROUDON, bleh.

Oh, and new scans, too. Cynthia and Arceus are there. Looks like they're really making some changes--at least for the post-E4.

It made me think of this little Digivice thing I had way back when, and that was pretty awesome. I remember being really bummed when I lost it...of course, that was when I was in third grade...

It does seem like it should make power-leveling a bit of an obsolete concept, but I dunno. It always seemed like you have to power-level at some point in the game, and I'll admit that sometimes it was actually entertaining.....but then again you don't have to use the Pokewalker if you don't want to, so it's win-win for Nintendo, I guess.

Also, boo, Gold doesn't get Groudon. -_-

So, it looks like EVERY Pokemon is capable of following you and they'll pick up accessories or something?

Kanto has been confirmed (we already knew, but yeah) and there's a new area in Johto. Some new art was released, too.

Then there's the Jirachi event which will unlock ANOTHER area...

Man, Nintendo is working hard on these games. By the way, Japanese copies can be pre-ordered starting on July 4th and will come with figures. If you pre-order both, you get Arceus (although I won't be able to do that, rofl).

I'm still reading through all of the updates that I missed, but this looks pretty awesome.

Even the small stuff, like the tall grass looking more kickass. <3
