Magmar gets moveslot syndrome fast.

Magmar doesn't have ALL that many reliable moves... The only ones worthy of mention for a Scarfer are Cross Chop, Overheat, Flare Blitz, and a throwup between Thunder Punch, Psychic, Mach Punch, Iron Tail, or Focus Blast. Focus Blast and Iron Tail have sorta lack-luster accuracy, and the others don't work all that well without STAB unless they're comin' off of a big offensive stat. Magmar's got good stats on both, but moves like Mach Punch and Thunder Punch aren't likely gonna be all that useful. Focus Punch has potential, at least- great for predicting switch-ins.

You don't need that many reliable moves to get moveslot syndrome.

Hidden Powers are also worth it for a scarfer.
